I was correct! Rise of the Governor is wall-to-wall anus-puckering tension and heart-thumping action.
Realizing there wasn't enough horror in my reading world and being a fan of The Walking Dead tv show, I figured a book based on the backstory of one of the franchise's most notorious characters was a safe bet for some good reading. Great read looking forward to the next one, if their is, and the season premiere of the show in October. I got to experience a characters descent into darkness and madness. It's different to read a book where the main character is the villian and not the hero. So with that being said I started the book and all I can say is Wow! The ending was such a "what?!" kind of ending, leaving me wanting more.
Also keep in mind that I basically only read YA books with a female as the main p.o.v. Before I read this book I had to do a little research on "The Governor" because I haven't read the comics and also the show hasn't introduced that character yet. I watched The Walking Dead when it aired last year and I thought it was A-M-Azing. When I started this book I had no idea what the book was about. So with that being said I started the book and all I can say is Wow! The ending I won this on Goodreads!

The despot who runs the walled-off town of Woodbury, he has his own sick sense of justice: whether it’s forcing prisoners to battle zombies in an arena for the townspeople’s amusement, or chopping off the appendages of those who cross him. In the Walking Dead universe, there is no greater villain than The Governor.
